It also brought together traditional leaders like Osabarima Kofi Ayeh II Chief of Suhum and some opinion leaders in Suhum, colleague MPs, Joseph Mensah and Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi, of Kwesimintsim and Odotobri constituencies respectively. They were served with lots of food to eat and drink.
According to Mr. Opare -Ansah who is also a member of the ECOWAS Parliament the decision to come up with the Easter Soup Kitchen was to provide an opportunity for his constituents particularly those with the Kwahu lineage who could not make it to their hometown to celebrate Easter, to also make merry while in his constituency.

Speaking in an interview with Ewuradjoa Coleman on the sidelines of the event Mr. Opare -Ansah said ‘’looking at the responses, my executives and I are looking at the possibility of picking two more holidays in this year and taking it to the two other area Councils in Suhum. We have three Councils; Suhum Urban Council, Akorabo and Nankese Urban Council, so there are plans that somewhere around August 4, when we have our first founders day, we will possibly move the program to Akorabo and thereafter on Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday we move this also to Nankese,so hopefully by Christmas or next year there is going to be a similar one’’.
The program preceded with a health walk which was patronized by over 5000 people most of whom were taken through health screening exercises.
It was climaxed on Easter Sunday with a Kenkey Party held at the forecourt of E-Pub, Suhum. There was a football Gala held in honour of the MP on Monday at Okorase.
