The government has extended the ban on all public and social gatherings by an additional two weeks. This is to help people observe social distancing as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The President, Nana Akufo Addo made the announcement in a televised address to the nation on Sunday, April 26.
This means, no church and mosque services, festivals, parties, weddings, sports, and all activities that involve the gathering of people for the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have increased to 1,550 up by 271 more cases.
So far, a total of 100,622 tests have been across the country by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and the Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine.
